Hey all! I currently have 2 10" Infinity 1052w's, and I want to upgrade. I definetly liked the SQ that the Infinitys produced but its time to sacrifice a little SQ to improve on SPL. So...As far as 10's" go, I want some input on some good sq, and better spl subs. I plan on keeping my enclosure which is 1.5 per sub. And for a price range lets try to stay in under $200. Any input would be appreciated.

Thanks

I was hoping to just re-use the enclosure I have in my trunk which holds 10"s, plus I wanted to try something other then infinity.

OK, what about a couple 10" type R's? Onlinecarstereo has them for 117 a pop, free shipping! Anyone got any other good, cheaper sites? Or better ideas for some subs?

i'd consider the R's for a excellent bang for the buck, make sure you got a good 600-800 rms a piece though...otherwise it wouldn't do them that much justice...

Would I be allright running them with a Hifonics BXI 1606. It gives 1100 x1 2ohm, its 1600 x1 1ohm but the R's cant run 1 ohm right?

So let me get this straight... The following is a diagram I found at JL's site. If the 2 subs are connected in parallel and they are 4 DVC then that will create 1ohm?

Dual-4 Ohm Subwoofers: 1 Ohm
