Connectors for my Wiring Harness

Thanks, also I prolly will have my front and rear speakers on my deck for a lil while, is it worth it to run speaker wire through my car and crimp/solder it to my harness? What size speaker wire should I use. I had some 14g wire Running from my deck (crimped to the harness with butt connects) and some people told me it was too much, but it seemed to work well. So is 14g overkill? Thanks again

if you get a real good pair of crimpers($10 from autozone) and crimp the metal cylinder inside the connector they should hold fine, if not sodering is always a choice just besure to wrap the wires well afterwards or things could get ugly.

Where can I find information on soldering my wiring harness? Like what kind of solder do I need, are there different grades or ways to measure the quality of solder, what kind of soldering iron should I use? Also, how should I go about soldering the wires" Stuff like that.

You can use pretty much any soldering iron, when doing speaker wire you hardly need any power. You use rosin core solder, just touch the iron to the bare wires twisted together heat them up for a bit then touch the solder to the wires and it should sorta get sucked through it pretty quickly, you really don't need much or hte stuff. Then tape it up, or heat shrink it, whatever youw ant to do.
