Connecting portable mp3 player to car system

it's a Li-Ion battery, correct? Those things are supposed to be memory free...the only batteries you really have to be careful about are NiCds, which aren't used a lot anymore due to enviromental concerns, etc, etc...

boister77,,,, What do you have over the box of your subs??? it looks like some kind of wire? am i correct??? if not then what??thank you
it's a custom grill that i made. it's simply perforated metal that i cut to the specs of the box. works really great in protecting my sub.

iunno what kind they are, i only know that a shitload of ipods die of battery memory ...
the battery of the ipod is li-ion so it should be memory free. also, i believe the belkin kit is a smart charger where it charges the ipod when needed and sends a trickle charge to keep it full and not overcharge. i also don't leave my ipod connected/charging in the car 24/7. only when i'm driving or when needed.
