I have a 2013 Subaru BRZ. I want to connect an amp to my factory headunit that does not have amp pre-outs. The factory speakers do use factory amps (there's no factory sub).
My question is, I am considering getting the AudioControl LC2i, which uses the speaker outputs as inputs and converts/processes it to a pre-out signal to go to an amp.
But I was wondering if I had a better option since I technically do have a pre-out signal already.
1. Get a crossover/signal processor that will take the pre-outs tapped from my factory amp and convert it to a low signal for subs. I'm not sure if it would be better than using the AudioControl LC2i. I figured it would be better to process a pre-out signal instead of already amplified signal coming out of the factory amps. Any recommendations on signal processors like this?
2. Use AudioControl LC2i and feed it the speaker wires.
