confusion

I have an Audiobahn 4125HCT amp which is 1 ohm stable and two 4 ohm DVC 12's is there any way to wire these down so I can get the full power from my amp. I currently have the 12's bridged and am only using half the amps power and only getting half power to the 12's. I've wondered about treating it as though you were wiring two amps to one speaker, what would that mean as far as wiring and ohm ratios. Anyone's help would be appreciated.

The wiring above represents only one half of the available power of your amp and I think that this might be what you have already. The other 2 channels of the amp would still be free to run other speakers. It cannot be combined into running with the other 2 channels on the same subs.

Yes that is the setup I currently have... I just wanted to be absolutely sure there was no way for me to max out my amp with my current setup. I also have two tens so could I use the other two channels to power those and if so, I've heard that when you combine tens and twelves they cancel each other out, is there any validity to this?

yeah thats true. What you could do is wire each sub to two ohms and bridge the four channels to two channels and put a sub on each channel. That'd probably give you a bit more juice.

Yes and no, they will not cancel each other out unless one set of speakers is wired out of phase with the other. The issues that normally arrise is the fact that most 10's cannot play the same frequencies as the 12's at the same ampitude. Meaning the 12's play louder at a lower note without self destructing. They would also tend to mask any distortion coming out of the smaller drivers at the point of clipping of the smaller drivers (thus pay real close attention to the gain settings). If you are going on this route you may want to get a bandpass crossover to separate the 12's from the 10's from the balance of the system.

Are they any adapters that would make my amp wire down to one channel... I found an ACHBRM (bridging module for mono amps to combine amps) I know it says for mono-block amps just wondering if it could work.
