Confused about Brahma 10"

The specs show otherwise. Less excursion, smaller vc, etc. The new Tumults are a closer comparison to the old Brahmas (but better).
Yes the specs are quite different but Adire has said it themselves that the new Brahmas will be quite similar in performance to the old ones... Not up to par, but similar.

Im sure they will be very good drivers. Im not saying any differently. Simply saying they wont be the Brahma of old. I predict old B10's are gonna be highly sought after.

Have you played with the new Brahma's yet and compared it to the old one's? Keep in mind that we know quite a bit about these speakers as we are the one's who designed them. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Steven,The enclosure is 1 cubic ft sealed... is that too big??? Please let me know!!

if it is, you could just add blocks of 2x4's or anything that takes up space(sand bags, expanding foam etc), better bigger than too small.

Thanks man.. I was thinking I COULD do that if it was too big but wasn't sure if it would work lol, but then again, I know next to nothing about boxes. Thanks for the help!!!

Obviously I have not played with one, as they are not available. As you know. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif My comments were based on the released specs, as Ive said all along. The specs show it to be a smaller version of the original Brahma. Is this incorrect, or will it still somehow perform to the old Brahma's means?

That is definitely on the large side. You are in the ported box territory. We usually recommend around .6 cubes for the B10. I ran mine in a .36 cubic foot enclosure, and Tom Nousaine (IIRC) found that .2 cubic feet provided flat response down to 20 Hz in his Corvette when he reviewed the sub in Mobile Entertainment.

We wouldn't have said that it would perform very similar if it wasn't true. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
