Computer wiz' needed!

Alright, I'm great with computers and software, but for some reason, I have been stumped by this simple fix. I'm missing csrss.exe. I'm wondering how to recover it. Can I just load my WinXP SP2 CD in, and use MSDos to copy it?

a reinstall of the OS fixes most everything so I don't see why it wouldn't work

Should be able to put in the install cd, boot to the recovery console, then if you know exactly where it is and where it's going yeah you can copy it in the recovery console (MS DOS)

If you can boot to windows and have your xp disk, you can try sfc /scannow . If sfc dosen't run or you don't have the disk, you might have an updated copy of csrss.exe in \WINDOWS\system32\dllcache .

you can just find where that file is suppose to be and copy it from another comp. than put it on this computer through command prompt
