Computer help!!!??!?!?!?

On our older computer, the display is really zoomed out (the bar at the bottom with the start button is like 1/4 of and inch tall...), and it really sucks to use the computer. I wnet in to the display and changed teh resolution, and the next setting up zoomed in so far it was like being in safe mode. I was messing with the video card driver on it a while back could that of effed it up??? Actually it happened right after that computer went into safe mode for a while....anybody know what i could do to fix it???

I had a similar problem. Go to your hardware profile and see if your driver is working properly.

uhhhhh?!?!? Lol, wth r you talking about??? LOL, theres a place to tell you if programs are working right??? The problem is i don't know if i ever actually installed the driver/got one to work, now that i think about it more i don't think thats what caused it, it was right after my computer freaked out, booted back up in safe mode and then when i got it straightened out i noticed this.....

Go to your desktop, and right click on My Computer select Properties click on the hardware tab, then select device manager. Go to the Display Adapter and see if it says the driver is installed or whatever

right click on my computer>properties>hardware tab>device manager>display adapters... and voila you are there. check and see if the driver is even installed

under display it listes my graphics card, and under monitor it lists some dell driver....

If the color is is 16 bit (crappy dull color) then more in likely its the video driver that is messed up. Now if the color is like normal, then it's more in likely the video driver just reset. In this case, just change turn the resolution back up.

try 800x600 or 1024x768 for your resolutions.. should be fine.

No i have put the resolution to all the possible settings and there isn't one thats remotly tolerable, thus i have invaded my parents nice new computer with the 19" lcd //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif, but i would like to get mine fixed....

800x600 is too zoomed in...1024x768 is too small...maybe i'm effed lol, i liked it how it used to be but its been to long to remember...let me see what its on on this computer cuase it doesn't bother me....
