Yea I kinda screwed my computer up with torrents limewire and not updating my anti-virus

I want a fresh start. However, I do not have the restore disk that came with my computer. How can I still Restore my comp?

do you have access to some kind of windows xp cd??? if not, then u may as well use that new torrent software and download a copy.

i may or may not have just snagged a copy of Vista lite from a torrent and its working like a charm...

vista lite???? is it a cd-bootable version of vista, or just a downsized version of the vista installer? or something completely different

You MUST have a bootable disk of XP/Vista/an Operating system to perform a "redo" of your computer. Without one you cannot.

Did you not get a disk when you bought your computer? Call up Windows Tech and tell them you're re-installing on the same computer it was before and they'll give you one that works.

Second torrent looks alright. Make sure you have Peer Guardian 2 installed and KEEP all the stuff you want somewhere else if you're going to re-install your system.

yeah but they are 5 minutes from my home and it only took 2 hours

probably only took them about 15 minutes, but they charged you for 2 hours

only takes a few programs to do that sort of "clean-up"
