i poop on you
ok my computer just crashed after trying to overclock it. when i turned the computer back on, stable, the monitors settings were all messed up. i had to use the OSD on the monitor to set the settings back to how they were. i noticed that when i went to my OSD it displayed the frequency which my monitor was truly running at. i noticed that it was 59.9 hz and that it would not go over even though my refresh rate is at 100. this reminded me of counter-strike.. when i use to only get 60 frames maximum (when i knew i should be getting more) and turning off vertical sync in the videocard's drivers would get rid of this maximum. is there a way to make my monitor run higher than 60 hz or is it physically incapable of doing so? its an amptron 17 inch CRT... pretty old.
PS - ALSO, IF MY MONITOR IS ONLY REFRESHING AT A FREQUENCY OF 60, DOESN'T THIS MEAN THAT ALTHOUGH MY COUNTER-STRIKE READS 100+ FPS, I'M NOT TRULY SEEING THOSE 100 FRAMES IN A SECOND??
