Does anyone know of a way or any program that will allow me to "lock" a file away so it cannot be deleted or something like that? Maybe password protection?

My microsoft MSDN subcription disappeared. Im assuming it has to do with me graduating from my school. I have a windows 7 x64-x86 .iso, and a winXP pro .iso that I dont want to lose as I couldnt re-download them if they were to be deleted.

You can burn them .iso files to a disc and create bootable media out of them. Or you can right click > Properties > read only.

Yea, Windows 7 and Windows XP will do that. Its called READ ONLY, dumbass.
