comps that can handle 300-350rms?

That's going to be one hell of a front stage!!!!!!CDT Audio which can be found on the Woofers.com site. They have 7(seven)pages of components. You might look at the RS-072 gold models have a 7" mid-bass and tweeter set-up.Those handle 250 rms.The 3-ways will go to about 280rms.Look for yourself, out of all those choices you should find something you like. The one that I listed retails for about $1100.00..............Alpine50..........

Aren't the rainbow cmx 6.5"s only $350 or so?

Yeah, they're around that price, but they can only take about 200w rms a side being run passive.....and even with that much power, you have to turn down the gain a good bit. 300watts a side to the CMX's would quickly waste your $350. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

I have been running 425/door for about a year now to my Rainbow Powerline CS's. They are outside of your budget though. You may be able to get the active set for a bit less if you are planning on running active.

I am running an SAX 100.4 bridged to CDT ES-620's and they handle it just fine.I also ran my QSD 216's on it and they took it fine to.They are not really getting all that much more power constantly-you basically set the gains correctly and benefit from tons of headroom.I got the CDT's from Woofers etc. for $300.00 and I have been pounding them hard for almost 2 years with no problem.

Same amp and comps I have (got the 200Z xover upgrade) and they can handle 225-250 without even breaking a sweat

Phoenix Gold Ti Elite (Morel made) runs well off of that kind of power. Just look for something that fits what you need. You don't need to put 350 watts per side to have great, loud sound.
no doubt. i put 300w per door to some ba pro's. my buddy puts half that into more effecient speakers and he is just as loud
