Comps if the front, nothing in the rear, sub in the trunk

if u go with polks go with the momo comp sets and buy them on ebay or woofersect, crutchfield is higher priced.

grab a set of polk momo comps and an amp that does around 150x2@4ohms or even look into cdt comps

sorry to hijack, but had a question, I have a passat sedan, do I need to make some sort of hole or something to allow the bass to enter the cabin of the car from the trunk? No speakers in the rear deck, the passat 4motion I have has 6.5 components stock in the front/rear doors.

Do your rear seats fold? If so, and if they do not have super rigid backs I

think you'll be okay, as long as your box is not so big as to choke itself off

(assuming rear firing here).

going to be using a sealed box for a single ID 12" sub, roughly 1 cubic feet, rear firing.

The polks are a good solid speakers also I have seen what running without rears sounds like I will not go back.
