I was never able to replace my factory HU, so I had to add one beneth it. Before I was using the PAC units to get the signal to the amps. The Pros I am running would get really loud with the amp gains set correctly.

When I added the Pioneer HU the loudness went considerably down, enough to where I have to adjust the gain close to 3/4 high and its still not close. I have adjusted the pioneer eq and everything I can think of. My rear door speakers went out and I even bridged the PG to pushing close to 200rms and I still have the gains at 1/2 and still not close.

Anyone know why?

Might be because the new HU outputs at a lower voltage. Try using a line driver to get your channel output to around 5-8v. 8v is the highest the PG amp can handle I believe.
