Components making noice

I just hooked up a set of Infinity Cs 6x8 components in my truck and I get this crackle noice and poping noice when I turn them up. It bothers the hell out of me. I have them hooked up to my HU not a amp and I hooked up the tweets at the lowest level. yeah get em off your head unit---too much distortion--get a nice 2 channel amp that matches close to your comps rms rating.

This might sound weird but it seems to do it when im playing a CD and not the radio.

Becuase the Radio's frequency range is only from 60Hz-10kHz (FM), whereas CD's are from 20Hz-20kHz.
