Components for my 02 blazer

Thanks for the info. What do you think about the 6.5 vs 6.75 set? Are there any benifits from going one way or the other?
Slightly more cone area should relate to slightly more midbass, probably not by much I'd assume. IIRC, the 6.75s are coaxials though. Do they also have a 6.75 component set?

most are 6.5 not very many 6.75 but either way they still fit most of the time ,no difference in the sound tho
ah, ok

For the Jl's and some others, yes. I'm not sure about the pioneers.

The Pioneers have both sizes IIRC. I had the 6.75s (ts d1720c). Very strong tight midbass. I ran them active with 175wrms to each mid and like 50wrms to each tweeter.

I will say I have heard that the JL C2s have an issue with the tweeter cutting out when using factory crossovers assuming as a protection for the tweeter from too much power. I've never experienced it myself though.

i have the m-class components from memphis and while i have good midbass i also had to put a lot of work into my doors to get them there.but i am happy with the mids now.the tweet can be a bit harsh when mounted on axis but i have managed to tone them down to a point to where i can live with them. personally id look into other comps. i rather liked my rockford t3 comps but they are expensive as hell
