Component Speakers

Im looking for a good setup on some Component Speakers. I am on a slight budget. I am putting in 2 10" MTX Thuder 8000 with 400 watts to each. Im going for some sound quality. I was also thinking about going with MTX's Componet Thunder 8000 line. I have a 1994 regular cab S-10. The dash speakers are 4x6's and the doors are... I think 5 1/2's. Is the MTX line good? What about any others? Thanks

I have the 6.5" Thunder 8000's and they sound really nice. Look at Infinity, MB Quart, Boston Acoustics, Crystal, Diamond, Focal, etc.

Yep. I like the other brands I listed above as well...the Boston's, MB's, Focal's, Crystal's are better then the MTX's if you are willing to spend a little but more. Some people dont think MTX cant make speakers, but I think they sound pretty good.

Price range? And size?

- Steve

ITS A97 CHEVY truck remeber:D 6.5 as for price i was lookin on ebay and will be looking on some sites tomarrow prob 300

what do yuo think of POLK MOMOs and can they handle 100 rms

this rec amp power stuff when its higher than the rms well anyways say like the momos it says 75rms but rec amp is 12(or what ever)to like 150 what the hell does this mean

I wouldn't have gone with the 8000 for pure sound quality but they are really good as long as the box is the proper size and stays sealed. MTX is a brand all about SPL. Boston Acoustic and MB make about the best soft souding speakers. I love my infinity Kappa Perfects because they sound like the sembles are in my ears but they're pretty harsh for most. The Momo's sound great my friend has two sets in his Benz truck doors with 4 12inch MTX 8000's the only people who dare sit in it is those who don't love there ears he has about 75w going to the components and nearly 700 to the 12's
