component speaker crossover question

So I got my ppi comps the other day and there very nice but the crossovers are huge and there is no where for me to put them up front so my question is that is it alright to mount them in the trunk and run the wires from crossover to the speakers up front to the mid and tweet. What I'm trying to ask I guess is that long speaker wires running from the crossovers up to the speakers gonna effect the sound? Any input will help thanks

Yes, thats fine.

Many show cars display the passive xovers in the trunk if they look impressive.
