I have alot of ?'s about legacy: 1) how close is there rms on there amps my amp says 2x1200watts. model#LA2070. is it actually running anywhere close to that? I'm going to purchase subs soon and i was wondering which would be my best option to get the most bass, I want loud not quality. here's my options 4-10's@400RMS each, 4-12's@500RMS, or 2-15's@600RMS these are all legacy. Model#'s LW1057(93db),LW1257(97db),LW1557(98db). and my other questions are should I be using a capacitor?, a cross-over, and last but not least an equalizer? And if you live in the vegas area would you like to help me install all this? jmichelle200@aol.com

kinda funny you have no comment, I notice on your profile that you don't even have a system. And for those that wanna talk **** about legacy more power to ya just make sure you take that dick out of your mouth cuz I can't comprehend a word you're saying, it all sounds like your saying ummm... good to the last drop

Have a friend ride with you and have him say booom in a low voice and that will be louder and sound better then legacy. The amp MIGHT put out 600 DIRTY DIRTY watts. I would not recommend puting the "suggested" wattage on any of their subs or else they will blow.

And if you wanna flame, dont do it here, go to flaming section.

alright...listen...this person came on here looking for some help. Yes, the equipment she chose could be the worst on the market, but she chose it and asked a simple question. Since you are getting Legacy everything...and the amp says 2x1200...which means its staying it is pushing 2400 watts total. So get legacy subs where the rms adds up to 2400 watts. My guess is they overrate their amps just as much as they overrate their subs. So your 2400 watt system is pushing about 1/4 of that...but your subs can only handle 1/4 of what they say. Hope this helps.

if your really looking for a decent brand that isnt bad...check out profile or pioneer or jbl.....good range of products that wont break your wallet...good luck man..peace,

The LA2070 -- 1200x2 -- That is a MAX rating, which means--

1200x2 at 2 ohms max, or 600x2 at 2 ohms rms, or about 400x2 at 4 ohms rms. After typical legacy over-rating - You can figure approx. 300x2 @ 4 ohms rms or 450x2 @ 2 ohms totaling MAYBE 900x1 bridged.

If I were you I'd look for a little higher quality stuff for the low end. There are some VERY nice amps that have been going for next to nothing on ebay lately (optidrive), and decent subs are a dime a dozen. I've been running a pair of pyramids at thier rated power (from and optidrive) that have done great for about a year now.

Decent stuff is out there at very affordable prices. You just have to be a good, patient shopper.

just to let you all know, ive got a legacy amp rated at 800 max and two digital audio dvc subs...while all this ran for next to nothing, i must honestly say that this system POUNDS...one key factor that ANY TRUE car audio enthusiast, whether rich or poor, will tell you: its all in the SETUP of the system, components make a diff, but correctly setting it up and installing it makes a HUUUUUUUUGGGGGGGE impact

k, legacy ***** balls.....if u don't like that, u can **** mine

stupid ass fukkin morondumb ***** eat shitt HA HA HA

and you use SONY....

you would be surprised how good the real supposid shitty quality low priced stuff is.....granted, its not mb quart or anything, but you would be VERy surprised at a system you can throw together for just a few hundred bucks....as i said before, installation makes a huge difference....choosing the right size boxes and whatnot (for the record, an amazingly kick ass system that you can now get for about 400 bucks (due to the fact that its discontinued) is an all mtx system, 400 rms amp, two 12" 5000's in a sealed box wired in parallel...throw that in the back of a jeep cherokee, you will be EXTREMLEY surprised)

good for you *** boy(ngsm) that you live in sissy oh hoe or some **** like that or you could be another one of my infamous jackmoves. I figured I'd try buyin' my audio equipment this time instead of jackin' some thrown ass together **** like yours.

what was your total budget. 100-200$ on this system. I must say i paid 5$ for a legacy amp for my dad's mtx 4000's and they sound like ****. Now I must admit they are not the highest sq woofers on the market but legacy pyramid boss any of those ****. And if you would like to commit on my system I will happily SHUT YOUR ASS DOWN!!!!!!!!
