Compatible amp for Kicker CVR 12 ?

My Kicker CVR 12" DVC has been underpowered for months and I had no idea.. My dad handed me down his old Alpine MRV-F340 and it's been wired at 4 ohms and I barely could hear it at all. So I bridged at 2 ohms and it sounded pretty decent but the amp would overheat after about 20 minutes. anyways today I decided to look up the ratings of both to find out that the amp is rated at only 230watts max at 2 ohms but my sub is rated at 400rms. What's a capable amp that will use my speaker to full potential?

Dvc what? 2 or 4?

You're looking for 400-500w rms at 1, 2 or 4 ohms.

1 ohm for a d2 wired parallel using a mono amp.

2 ohms for a d4 wired parallel using a mono amp.

4 ohms for a d2 wired in series with a 2 channel amp (bridged), or a mono amp.
