Comparable subs to 12" JL W0s

Hi...

My name is Cory and I'm new to the message board. I came across it while browsing for subwoofers comparable to the subs I once had in my car. My most recent setup was a pair of 12" JL 4ohm W0s in a sealed Q-logic box powered by a Kenwood KAC-829 amplifier (which I believed I had "bridged" so that the resistance was 2 ohms - I'm not sure if this is the proper terminology). I was very satsified with the sound - both clarity and "loudness" - and I was looking to replace the W0s when the surrounds on both deteriorated. However, I've had no success finding reasonably priced new or used W0s (I don't want to spend more than $100 used, and would prefer not to pay retail for them new). I then set out to purchase the old style (svc) W3s, but could not find any of these reasonably priced either (I don't want to spend more than $150 used, or $200 new).

Finding no success in my search, I set out to find comparable subs from other companies. But, I've found comparisons with any merit to be nonexistent. So, I'm hoping someone on this board might be able to steer me in the direction of comparable subs (comparable in clarity, "loudness," and price (hopefully a little cheaper)) to either a pair of 12" JL W0s or a pair of 12" svc JL W3s

Any advice would be appreciated.

JL is really expensive, I would go with a different company and get the same (or better) performance for much cheaper. Are you looking at spending $200 per SUB new or for the pair? Also, are you opposed to buying off the internet? You can get equipment for a great price online.

I was referring to pairs when I said I did not want to spend more than $100 for used W0s, and no more than $150 for used W3s or $200 for new W3s. I'm not opposed to purchasing subs online. However, the added cost of shipping usually offsets any deals that I've found. I'm open to purchasing online, though, if the price is right.

i think some Resonat engineering RE series would be close to those W0s for a really good price http://www.reaudio.com i dont know price of them but im sure someone does, maybe 75 shipped for 12
