Car audio isn't a cheap hobby, bro. If you don't want to buy additional batts and a h/o alt, you could always downsize to a single Level 4 on 1,000 watts...

why ccant i run the 2 12s and amp from my battery that i have know. ive seen two 16 kick comps and a 2000 watt amp run off a 4 banger eclipse ho battery.

dont get me wrong im willin to spend the money i just thought id have this done and paid for in a month and know its soundin like 3 or 4.

Just because you saw it "running" doesn't mean it was performing as it should. When you're talking about adding a "true" 2,000 watt amplifier to a bone stock electrical system with a 100 amp alt, it's going to cause trouble. Voltage drops can destroy your equipment, man. Even with the h/o alt, you'll need a battery upgrade. It doesn't have to be a second batt, though. You could always buy a single massive battery for under the hood...

the other thing is say i found a fried amp super cheap. are those things expensive to fix parts wise. id do all the labor myself.

I'd use a nice "car audio related" battery if I were you. Kinetik is my favorite...

misfit is right, a lot of people think of just buying subs and amp then skimp on the rest like a custom box, rca's, hi's, and the system will never be what it should.

There's nothing wrong with running a single sub, bro. You could get a Level 4 15" or 18" & feed it 1,000 - 1,200 watts rms. It'll surprise you, man....

the thing is around my little town everyone runs a kicker comp or a pair of em with a wal mart deck and think their the shit. The best ive heard of in someones ride are old rockford fosgates 12s. i just want to smoke everyone. Would i have the space for two lvl 4 15s. get one now and then get the ho alt and bat then buy a second?

get a 15 level 4 with a nine.1 will cost you half of what you would spend man or this Elemental Designs
