I don't have much money to spend, so here is what I am thinking: 2 Rockford Fosgate 12" Punch Z subs, powered by and Rockford Fosgate 120x2 or 160x2 Punch amp.

Or, 2 Kicker Comp 12" subs, powered by a little similar amp.

Someone help me out.

I've been looking around on sites and have become partial to Kicker myself. After going to http://www.kicker.com and looking at the record a guy set with Kicker subs and kicker amps in an Astro Van it made me all warm inside. Ordering some myself. Probably Kicker Comps, and Kicker R13 Tweets //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

No man those kicker are intelligent but about the real deal, you should go with RF's seriously. kicker they are real cool but they are not repeat not gonna hold as long as the fosgates. I had 6 kicker comps on 3 soundstream amps (10.0). I couldn't stay away from the shop for new comps.stick wit the sh*t.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/banghead.gif.8606515f668c74f6de0281deb475b6fd.gif

Ok, I have narrowed my debate to a few different setups. I currently have some kenwood 6 1/2's (49) and 6x8's (89) and a JVC head unit (179).

Considering this is what I have, should I just go kinda cheap on my subs setup too? I mean, I don't want my subs to be awesome and the rest of my **** subpar. I don't feel like upgrading to $200 component speakers either. So, its looking like 2 12" RF Punch Z's or maybe if I feel crazy 2 he's. Would a kenwood KAC-529S run the punch's ok? It's rated at 60x2 at 2 ohms and 120x1. Or, would a MTX Thunder4122 amp be a lot better?

If I go 2 He's, then what kind of amp do you guys suggest?

Also, would a medium sealed box be good for these applications? They are going in the trunk of a 99 Ford Escort Zx2 and trunk space is SOMEWHAT a concern.

Thanks all

if u dont wanna spend a whole lot of money, then go with the kicker comps, but if u dont mind paying the extra buck, then go with the he's. but if u step up to the he's, then u'll need to get a bigger amp, maybe a 360.2 or something like that, and if u aint got the money, then a 250.2, but nothing smaller.
