Hi there... Are they pure SPL subs or do they have good SQ?

How would they be compared to the JLW7 series?

How will it do on a JBL 1200.1 and a sealed box for SQ and a huge ported box for SPL(with subsonic filter)...

THX in advance..

From my personal experience they are more of an SPL. Which they do pretty d@mn well. I had a pair of the 9515's in a sealed box for about 30 minutes. They sounded pretty decent. But the JL would eat it alive in SQ. But I think the 9500's would when the SPL battle. With 1200w in a large ported enclosure. You could scare children and small animals //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif The sealed was half way decent. But when you drop the 9500's in a ported box, they really start to excel. IMHO:)

yeah they are a mainly SPL sub i'd call it about 85/15 spl/sq split in a ported box maybe closer to 70/30 in a sealed. if your interested kmu i am needing to sell my 3515's not the greatest in the world but they are dual 2ohm and if you ran a single 1200.1 to it they would take it just be careful. let me know if your interested.

How much are you selling them for? I am looking for some SPL subs and have narrowed it down to the 3515 or the RE HC 15 i can only fit one sub in the box that im going to build and really only want one sub. But if youre looking to sell one or both i may buy one.

the SQ on the 9515 is preety **** good, not not as nice as the W7 but its not bad, 3cubes sealed works nice. alost 4cubes tune to 32 will sound very nice. its about 60SPL 40SQ

i am looking to sell them as a pair but would be willing to sell a single one at a time. they haven't been used at all only took them out of the box to look at them and show my dad how big they are. DD list's the price at 300 a piece plus shipping i wouldn't mind 250ish for it. make me an offer if that isn't acceptable to ya though bro.

Depends on who's building the enclosure //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

for the most part DD 9500's are best suited for SPL competitions, I have not yet heard of a person saying they like them for daily driving, just too dirty, but very **** good subs no less

haha... Imma have to change it up.. people are starting to know me too well.. lol

While I dont think the 9500's are a complete loss for SQ... they arent the greatest either... the box factors in GREATLY... if you're gonna run a 9515, and want it to sound decent, you gotta keep the volume to 4 cubes and below... or the High EBP will let itself be known, and it becomes a one note wonder...
