they regularly come with birthsheets near a thousand watts. I expect an amp that's **** near 2 ft long to have a reason to be this physically large. you open up an old rf amp capable of a thousand watts, and you see it packed full of electronics. this is just... big for the sake of big. add to it that it was a special edition "flagship" product, and its dissapointing.

thats old and not a factor now. the transistors and components are leaps and bounds better and more efficient now n days. the newer to-220s and 247s are capable of 300 watts dissipation. so they are half the size pretty much now n days..
