best amp for 2 american bass xfl 12's

I have 2 American Bass XFL 12's in a ported 3.40 cu ft box tuned 32 hz on a pioneer GM D8601 1600 watt amp and the bass is the shiznit, it hits the lows like crazy and shakes the whole car. these subs make love with the power, whereas my old 10's felt like they were being ***** by it. But even though everything is shaking like nuckinfuts I feel like they have a hell of a lot more potential. It would be great to hear some suggestions of good amps to get the most out of these subs. I would also like to know if I get another amp will I have to get a second battery or get a high output alternator? my lights dim a little bit from this amp but its not that bad.

get a 3k amp or build a bigger box.

I need a volt meter hooked up at the amp to read realtime voltage. But if you get a 3k amp you need a HO alt... Just get the biggest one you can get so you don't have to upgrade again later on down the road... Alternator companies I'd buy from are excessive amperage and DC power.

do you know if there is any way to just buy another pioneer 1600 amp and just have them both running the subs? the amp is amazing, really cheap, and reliable so I really don't want to gamble on buying other amps only to have them blow up on me, especially an expensive 3k or 4k amp.

That pioneer amp is 800 watt at best... What ohm woofers do you have? D4?

SQ3500 - I have it on 2 ab xfl 15s at 1 ohm and they hold the power just fine.

You can probably get away with a solid 2k amp, bc2k, dc2k, twisted 1.8 etc with a decent rear battery. Would still be a huge upgrade over your pioneer
