cold air more dense help score ??

you really don't do anything. almost 7k posts and near same join date. get a life.,
patrick. gl w/ your thread.
hence me knowing a hell of a lot more about car audio then you do, Thats the advantage son.

go to bed you got work.

night

o and one last picture for you

enjoy.

acoustically the air temp in your car wont change anything except your not. Sound can possibly travel faster in more dense air so your note could be lower in colder air. My note is usually 46 hz in 65-85 deg air. My not is 42-43hz in 50 degree to 64 degree air, and about 38 hz on anything colder.

Cold air could effect equipment though and this could change the score. Cooler amps and subs could run more efficiently but colder batteries dont.

But also keep in mind that your box and amps may be setup to work well with a sub of a certain impedance. Cooler air can change the impedance and box rise of the sub and throw off the whole tuning of the system.

Basically you will never see a change in SPL as long as you are adjusting your note accordingly. Also, the change in temp will have to be extreme to notice a real difference. Extreme cars will notice differences more so because the tolerances in the system are so tight.

thanks

My score has had significant drops on hot days and seems to favor mild temperatures.
Have you tried a higher frequency at higher temps?

I used to run MTX RFLs and the box rise impedance went up almost .5 ohms in 90 degree weather making it so that less power came from my amps.

If my note changes (which for my current setup it has yet to do) it would not be a significant change.
