Clicking from Changer... Help!

So today I hooked up a Kenwood KDC-C717 changer to a KDC-MPV519 deck. I haven't used the changer in a while but I think it wokred fine last time I used it. When I turned it on today there is a consistent clicking or static noise and also consistent noise when the volume is raised. This is only happening when the changer source is on and is not a problem on any other sources. The changer cable is a Kenwood knock off. Any advice?

probably the wire ( if you installed it try rerouting the wire and check it for cuts last thing is buy a replacement and swap it in if it doesnt work then bring the wire back. if there are rca plugs that attatch also be sure to make sure the negitive or outer shielding isnt touching ground

kenwood knock off? that could be your problem right there.
