Class AB or Class D

I have run a bunch of class A/B amps and unless you get a 200 watt amp and run it on a 60watt sub with the gains way lower than needed, it will probably get warm. Hell all of my rockfords have gotten fairly hot on me. T8004 gets pretty warm at 4ohms and it boasts 1ohm stable. I would imagine it will do it fine, but not squashed between a seat and a box on a 115 degree day. I do not like the sound of Class D on my highs but some people would argue it sounds just fine. Class D is the way to go on the subs, smaller and cheaper usually. Wont really hear a difference unless SQ oriented all sealed up.

Have an Xli 2500 as a sub amp in the music room, overkill for sure, never overheats, never skips a beat.
