So I lost GPS connection with my clarion nx501 and heard from previous people that the microsd file goes corrupt and Clarion made an update for it. So I went on Clarions site and got update files for my headunit and followed the steps on doing it. So when you turn the radio on it should go to and update screen and when I clicked update it got about halfway through and then froze. It was frozen for about 25 minutes before finally shutting off and turning back on but it was just a desktop screen of windows. It literally looked like I had old version of windows on my head unit. So I tried re updating through the microsd slot with no luck it would not read the microsd so I installed my microsd usb adapter and did it through the usb line. That worked and I finally had a normal headunit again but now the gps does not even come up. It shows that its there but does not let me enter it at all. Now the microsd slot will not read any card I put into it. I contacted clarion and they had me send my microsd to them and they reformatted the gps files but that still did not work. They then told me my microsd slot was broken but it worked fine before the update froze and corrupted stuff. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Is there any way to get back into the windows format?
