Ok first my name is John I've been messing with Car audio for years I just started my latest build which is in my 2005 jeep grand cherokee I am using a Clarion nz500 as my multimedia deck which I wired up rear view camera, sirius radio, and did a ebrake bypass switch on cause the relay method didn't work the accesory power turns on before the deck. I plan on a eq then running to a cross over to two amps one for components and the other to subs. I wanted to actually keep the whole system clarion if I could. I know about the ten million products out there not gonna argue bout that. I have purchased there equalizer which is a 7 band. I was looking to wire this up but noticed there is only two inputs- one is a main input and a aux in input. Outputs are great sub out, front out, and rear out. OK now here lies my problem I have there are three sets that I have coming out of the deck like most normal decks now a days (front, rear, and sub). So what do I do lose the eq all together which would **** I am looking for sound quality out of the system and it seems that the eq would make for some increased tuning ability or do I run just the front set to the eq then run the rca's off that to the crossover or is there a different option or other product I should use here? I am open to ideas and options here. I do wanna keep a budget on this build so I'm not for going out and spending $600 dollars on signal processing unit. The jeep may see car shows but not sq or spl compitions.
