roll out.
eitherway it would be nice to know what they do at 12 clamped i mean they have ampguts.com why not ampclamp.com
the issue is the money involved in it. I have thought about this before, but with out a "fan base" and consumer support the financial burden of buying amps frequently would become over whelming. Now, if you had a large amount of fans/consumers willing to offer their amps for testing that would be a different story all together.eitherway it would be nice to know what they do at 12 clamped i mean they have ampguts.com why not ampclamp.com
maybe talk to one of the mods, and try to get a section for this, kinda like the review section? if you'd be willing to do the clamping (for consistency), i'm sure there are quite a few guys on here who would be willing to offer up their amps, for information sake... i know i wouldthe issue is the money involved in it. agreed, i would be up for having my mmats tested.maybe talk to one of the mods, and try to get a section for this, kinda like the review section? if you'd be willing to do the clamping (for consistency), i'm sure there are quite a few guys on here who would be willing to offer up their amps, for information sake... i know i would
I may do that.maybe talk to one of the mods, and try to get a section for this, kinda like the review section? if you'd be willing to do the clamping (for consistency), i'm sure there are quite a few guys on here who would be willing to offer up their amps, for information sake... i know i would
yea bro... i wouldnt trust many people on here with most of my equipment... but wouldnt have a problem sending you some stuff to test... i'm sure my feelings about that are shared by many... which is the main reason i suggested you do the testing, lolI may do that.
I would offer to replace any amp damaged during testing or in return shipping. All though I don't see that being an issue. I would have to look into a larger power supply for a "bench test" machine.
There is no way around it..I know how a good amp operates. I'm just saying that you really can't try and say the AP is a bad amp because it has it's purpose and that's rated power at a low price -- that's it. But at the same time you can't bash on it for being a junk amp because it really isn't that bad of an amp. Unless you buy used, you really can't beat this amp in price-to-performance.
thats why you dont buy tools from harbor freight... just get a quality DMMI'm not gonna argue that this amp doesnt do rated power but after 7 pages of discussion no one brought up the accuracy of the test equipment. I have used 6 of those red harbor freight tools dmm's and they are no where near accurate. Every single one that I have used won't even zero out when you touch the leads tgoether if you do an ohm reading and I could never get consistent results. The test would be more valid imo, if better test equipment was used.
so whats a burp?once you get a good amp u will understand..you have to measure for more than a few seconds as well..
what does that have to do with volatge or ac volts? just subtract. ill b dammed if i buy a 200 dollar meter just cuz i dont wanna subtract .5 from the numberI'm not gonna argue that this amp doesnt do rated power but after 7 pages of discussion no one brought up the accuracy of the test equipment. i got a clamp vid of it. actually 2. wanna see?agreed, i would be up for having my mmats tested.
Im not saying you need a $200 dmm to do the test but I highly highly question the accuracy of the readout from a dmm that is given out for free. they vary more than .5 here or there, so subtracting a number that you feel it is off by still wont give you an accurate reading.what does that have to do with volatge or ac volts? just subtract. ill b dammed if i buy a 200 dollar meter just cuz i dont wanna subtract .5 from the number
make sure you change the wire fluidNow it comes to judging the quality of the testing equipment next thing is out side ambient and wind speed. Soon you will need a psychometer to judge the humidity in testing amps and don't forget it has to be name brand.lol lol lol
