oh, and the math i used:
Apparent Power = RMS Voltage * RMS Current, AC measuement on output of amplifier.
Power = DC Voltage * DC Current, DC measuremens on +12V input of amp.
this gives the apparent power out (to the speaker) and the power to the amplfier.
efficiency = output power / input power.
Impedance Magnitude = AC Voltage / AC Current
this is the end of the basics. from here you can construct a right triangle with a hypotenuse of 256VA, and another side of 0.95*256VA. using trigonometry, one can solve for the angle (impedance phase) and the unknown side (VAR).
