I know you guys dont like rice and shit but im not, repeat not ricing out my civic. My dad can get the hook up on some engines. For 750$ he can get a V-Tec Engine with only around 35k miles on it. Is this worth it. Plus for another 400$ the transmission. Although i do not have the money right now... the price will stay the same till i save up for the much. Do you guys that is a good price.

1150$ for V-Tec Motor with 35k mileage plus a ******. I believe the ****** is brand new not sure. What are your guys takes?

Your best bet would be to go with the GSD b18c1, fairly cheap and powerful VTEC 170horse i believe.

I dont think the extra 25hp the type R's pump are worth the like way extra money.

The GSR is a good middle point engine to work with, with slight modification you can drop a turbo on it, unline the type r, and they kick ***.

So lets say I throw the new 2.0 Liter Acura engine in.... forgot what car it is in... im looking at 220hp but i would need serious modifications. I wouldnt mind that.... But could you guys give me a list of the top engines with the horsepower next to them. Specifially the model number and how much HP it has.

Thanks Qckrun

1999-2000 Civic SI 1.6 DOHC 160hp / 111torque (B16A2?)

1994-1998 Integra GSR 1.8 DOHC 170hp / 128torque

1994-2001 Integra LS/RS/GS 1.8 140hp / 124torque

2000-2002 S2000 240hp / 153torque

B18c GSR might be your best bet ... I think the B18c5's are a little pricey.

Thanks steve! Does anyone know the exact like model number like the B16A2's for example? Also the prices my dad has are wholesale... so its going to be even cheaper.... The place he goes through get the engines from Japan so theres only 35k miles as you cant drive over 35k miles on your car. Also Steve..... Would the S2000 engine fit in my 92 honda civic? or will any of those engines fit?

I'm pretty sure the B16A2 and the B18c GSR's will fit for sure ... minor modifications ... like motor mounts and the usual. I dont know if the S2000 would fit ...I doubt it, but it might.

Might want to check out a Honda/Acura or even specifically a Civic forum ... you'll find more information on there than you can shake a voice coil at. There's some guys on them that know everything ... down to what size bolts you'll need for the specific engine you want in your Civic.

You could always get the engine outta the Acura RSX, that would nice, but it would take some real good welding and fitting to get that sucker in there.

did you ever look at the jdm? i dont know shit about hondas, but i do know over in japan they have to get rid of them after 30k. you could look for something out of a SiR or something.

all i know is that the 1.8 dohc vtecs are the easiest to play with.

i think.

b18c1 with about 35k miles runs anywhere from 2500 to 3500 with everything.

b18c5 will with same miles and ******,ecu, etc. will run you almost 5g's.

Find out for me how much you can get a b18b1 with low miles, just the engine and let me know.

We also run a performance shop besides audio and can buy in bulk and bring business to you if you really are legit.

Pretty much all honda/acura engines are over priced due to high demand for the time being.

and btw, JDM parts are not cheap, those are by far the most costly. You get more points in a car show for having a jdm engine with other jdm conversions, than a hooked up car with a rebuilt engine w/ turbo/supercharger.
