Circuit breaker blowing

Hello. I have a hifonics 2000 watt amp and it keeps blowing the circuit everytime I reset it. The circuit is a 150 amp. Do I need a bigger circuit breaker or what else could it be?

kinda need more info, what model amp? what impedance is it running at? what size wire? what electrical upgrades do you have? Gains set properly? etc. But if you are doing 2000w rms I would say yes

Its a hifonics 2006bd. I have an orion 15h2 running at 1 ohm. I have 0 guage running from the battery to the cap. Its a boss 2 farad cap. From the cap I have a 4 guage ground and 4 guage running from the cap to the amp. I don't have any electrical upgradesbut I thinking i'd need the big three and a ho alternator. What size circuit breaker do you think I should be running. Thank you

Your ground is WAY to small... You need to use the same size ground as power, in this case: 0 ga. Check your ground connection as well, make sure you got bare metal ... Circuit breaker? You mean fuse? Look at the wire chart for 0 ga. fuse size...

K I thought the ground size didnt matter. Thanks and the ground isnt fully touching bare metal. The circuit breaker I got blows and you just push a bar inside and its fixed again. The man at the car audio shop said itd be cheaper than buying a fuse and replacing it everytime it blows

Its actually more important to have a proper sized ground wire than power. The guy at the shop is a jackass, replacing a fuse holder with a breaker isn't a solution.

FYI his ground ISN'T too small, he has 0 to the cap, 4 to the amp, and 4 to the chassis.
