Isnt christia goth a bit of an oxymoron?
for real......its like when i've seen on teh cover of some teen fashion magazine a few years back, and i quote "the lastest pop/punk fashion trends" and i wanted to throw up. let's not get started into whats punk and not punk discussion, since it's evolved into nothing like original misfits ***** raygun sexpistols type stuff. half way through blink 182's career is when it all took the final plunge into producing some of the crap we hear and see today. no more bands liek NoFx or old Greenday, just crap...
back to the issue.....it is quite the bit of an oxy moron, but so its alot of things today's society. this is just another example of someone with an idea that'll spread and inevitably, sell.
is it an original idea that'll get kids attention and and realte to some outsiders that happen to have faith? yes
-Will thefounder/idea maker of this in the end probly make (maybe big maybe small) some sort (of profit (money from opening a new market as well as influence on certain culture)...Yes
-Is it a total clash of what is/has been goth? not only goth but also to the death metal heads and a good population of headbangers like myself (though i started dressing to fit in a lil better after highschool was over lol). even in the ranks of whats semi goth, there's not usually much happy-go-christ people. Isnt this a total clash with what really devoted goths go for and stand for. Yes
-Will it gain momentum with it's positive outlook on things are rightious ideology?
Probably, seems to have worked out for the christians the ast 2K years....
Do i think it's lame? Very.....
it's a new idea thatll sell....if i wouldnt feel dirty trying to sleep at night haveing disgraced what goth has stood for in my life and for years before that, i would have come up with it myself. then again if i did it, id be taxing and milking this idea to the *****es (much so how happens with christian establishments here and there today)....
can i get an amen?
