Choosing bwt DEH-P80MP or 9855...

Which would you choose and why for SQ? I came about a post saying pioneer was quite good. Either way im probably gonna sell whatever i get and get an Eclipse, but for now, which one would be better?

Do these amps require that seperate power cable wire (like 4awg) anymore? I checked out the 9855, and it looks like it dont.

If by amp you mean deck(cd player, hu)...then no you dont need to hook 4ga power wire up to.

I couldve sworn ive seen recievors require a 4 awg seperate power or something due to their high current amps inside the recievors themselves.

Your not going to need 4 gauge to hook up an HU....most power wire for HUs are around 16-18 Gauge.....and maybe your could run 12 gauge if you wanted.

my dehp 80mp has two wires that conect to one 10 guage wire for the ground teh wire coming out of the plug is like 16-18 guage

of course it prob wouldn't be necessary if you weren't using the internal amp right?

Ahh i see. That would be a complete pain in the *** to do...

Got the 9855 though. Thx
