Choosing an Amp for Subs

I am trying to find out how to choose the right amp for subs.

The subs are Kenwood excelon 12" subs

1200 max

300 rms

How big of an amp do i need to get all i can out of these subs with out over powering them.

there are 2 of them in a sealed box.

Thanks

Are they DVC, SVC, 2, 4, 8 ohm? We need to know this to tell you any amp to look for.

But, generally speaking, I'd take a look at the JBL 600.1, puts out 600 wattsx1 @ 2 ohms.

Oh, and welcome to the forum:)

Then I'd take a look at the amp I mentioned above, wire the subs in parallel for a 2 ohm load, and each sub will get 300 watts, but maybe some other people have opinions on other amps that'll do the job.

Hows about a Pyramid or maybe even a Pyle amplifier.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif No really I would look at the jbl 600.1 that should do a body good.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
