Chevy work truck budget system

I recently picked up an old 89 Chevy K1500 Cheyenne that is SUPER CLEAN. Well, atleast clean for what it is! Its only got 118,00 on it and I'm starting to love the old girl. I know I can do better than some BS loaded sub box. I'm not looking to compete or win any shows with the old work truck. But I don't want to lose any leg (or belly) room in the old regular cab truck either.

or

But can I do much better for the money?

Yall have any better recommendations?

I have already decided on a set of the ID 4x6's for the dash and a 4 channel amp (not chosen as of yet) for the fronts and bridge the rear channels for the sub. I'm trying to not get carried away with this install! Normally I would just build a box for whatever sub I chose, but I'd rather not get that involved with this one.
