I have a 2003 chevy ex. cab truck and am putting to twelves in it. i've seen a lot of sealed enclosures that face down and i was going to make on that faces up. is there any difference in sound quality facing up or down being underneth my back seat? thanks

A lot of people say that firing at the floor helps with "transferring" the feeling and seems louder....... I've done 2 installs in your body style cheby with 10s firing at the floor and they both sounded fine.... Just make sure you leave enough room for the woofer to "breath" and so the box doesn't act as if it is bandpass...

in my s10 ive tried 4 10"s sealed firing forward, up, and down. My favorite was probably toward the floor with about 5" of room between that hump in the back part of the cab and the subs. I would suggest leaving a generous amount of room for the subs, more than 3"- 4".

heres a quick Paint drawing I did, This would be the style box I would build if i were running 10" or 12" subs primarily sealed. Or mayb 2 or 3 12"s ported in this style.
