this is the box im building for two 10" type s' and and av12 amp

the amp will be recessed into the box and the subs will be countersunk. Its going intio a chev 1500 regular cab. it will be about 2.6@35 hz

How do you save space over 3/4" when you're adding at least an 1/8" or more of glass inside the box and taking up volume?

Couldn't you have just used 3/4" and shrunk the box 1/8" all around?

could have yes...but he wants it ported and i wanted the most volume possible. its not a huge saving in volume but the box is going to be very strong aswell.

well i worked all day on it and got it done with. I am very happy with how it came out. i just have to finish carpeting it now... ill have those pics up after

bondo on the corners to ensure that it is smooth and has a nice roundover

its 99.1% done...i just need to build a trim panel for the amp rack. It will be made from 1/4" hardboard and covered in black vinyl leather. i think it should contrast nicely. Its only going to cover the edge of the amp and the wires. here are the pics:

i finished and got it to the customer. He is very pleased with the result. hopefully i will get installed pics soon...
