yikes... not as bad as a friend of mine who used a speaker wire as a power to his amp. It turned red hot and caught on fire, lol. We were 16 year old kids learning on our own. We had know internet in the early 90's for research so it was all trial and error.

That wire is going to get pinched and wear through and cause a short with the high possibility of a fire

I'm sorry it doesn't look clean. Through the firewall and under the carpet looks clean. And that wires cover will rub off and or get cut and that power coming from the battery and arc or even connect to the cars metal door and cause a short

he was using sarcasm, lol but yes it's a very bad idea to do that due to the reasons you mentioned, particularly a short from being pinched.
