well .. im no expert but .. my sister and her ex husband added a second floor to his parents house for about .. 40k? IIRC .. so bulldozing and then rebuilding a house from scratch might be in the area of .. 100K to 150k? anyone wanna chime in on this estimate?

^ Thats probably about right.

The amount of work being done @ my aunt/uncles home in LA is about the same. They are just remodeling though and from what im seeing the price is going to exceed the 150K mark.
