First I cut back the carpet a little to give myself some room for installing the ground feet ( had these in my box didn’t feel like going to the store for 4awg and 8awg ring terminals) then I took my wire wheel and ate all the paint off and screwed these to the floor using self taping screws. These will be completely hidden from view by the sub box and rear seats if they ever go back in.

and the finished look although still real sloppy i would never be this messy if there was any chance it would ever be seen.

these are the grounds for my brutus 1500 and alpine the 1/0 power is on the other side of the truck on the passenger side

that was a seat bolt for the rear seat in my 03 dakota quad cab. i would have maybe used it but it has a plastic washer that is glued to the floor

looks good! you can still improve them a little if you want. if you haven't already, use lock tight or a similar product to ensure that your screws don't come loose. also, you can exchange you flathead screws with hex screws. with hex screws, you'll be able to achieve a tighter connection since you can apply more torque to a hex than what you can with a flathead.

ahh, oke, I was talking about the bolts... you only need to tighten those to get the good ground connection. The flathead screws are just to hold the cable in place I dont think the connection will get better wit hex screws...

yeah the self taping bolts through the body that mounts the ground feet are not hex they are nut driven screws which will not come out since they got a little tack from the mig welder under the body and i want to change those flat head to hex as soon as i can find the right size hex to replace them with. i just used stuff i had in my shop didn't feel like going out, although they are pretty freakin tight i screwed them down with my drill and a flathead bit... but you are right hex would be better.

the cable may not get a better connection but it will be more secure with hex screws. from experience, you can only tighten a flathead screws so much and then you damage the head. with a hex, you can apply much more torque without damaging the head therefore creating a more secure hold.
