PG tantrum 1200.1 is a cheater amp i do believe, but i could be wrong.

An amp that does little power at 4 ohm but crazy power at, like, 1 ohm. "cheater" because some comps rate all amps @ 4 ohm so you can be in a low power class but have alot more power than that, I dont believe that method is used anymore on the big circuits...

what class?

anything American Bass..the only hcca amp thats still practical for competition is the 275's

I agree with the orion hcca series amps.Forgot to mention old school US Amps.

He was saying IASCA SPL classes are set up by woofer size, not amplifier power.

the tantrum is 600@4ohm I dont know what they rate that but I wouldnt consiter it a "cheater" amp
