No its notPG tantrum 1200.1 is a cheater amp i do believe, but i could be wrong.
No its not
An amp that does little power at 4 ohm but crazy power at, like, 1 ohm. "cheater" because some comps rate all amps @ 4 ohm so you can be in a low power class but have alot more power than that, I dont believe that method is used anymore on the big circuits...What is a cheater amp?
They go off of woofer size //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gifthen how come its IASCA power rating is 250 watts @ 4 ohms? maybe i'm confused as too what a cheater amp is. plus this thread has already been done before. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

He was saying IASCA SPL classes are set up by woofer size, not amplifier power.that doesn't make sense. what does woofer size have to do with wether or not an amp is a "cheater amp"?
I was pointing out that they go off woofer size in their comps.that doesn't make sense. what does woofer size have to do with wether or not an amp is a "cheater amp"?
the tantrum is 600@4ohm I dont know what they rate that but I wouldnt consiter it a "cheater" ampthen how come its IASCA power rating is 250 watts @ 4 ohms? maybe i'm confused as too what a cheater amp is. plus this thread has already been done before. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
