Not only that, but it allows you to help control the acoustical environment of the vehicle itself. Those little rattles and hollowness sounds in your cab will start to disappear and give it a more solid environment. You will also keep more of your bass and midbass in the cab, hence increasing the loudness and clarity of your music. There's many more reasons as well, here's a good read for you...
