Well im thinking of buying the Pioneer DEH 4600MP HU it comes with a combo pack with two front speakers from pioneer. its in a combo for 118 bucks thought it was a deal.. my HU got stolen so im starting from nothing.. anyways..

Can someone tell me what would be some good subs in a box and a good amp thinking mayb 1 12 inch or 2 12 inch and a amp... don't need this system so people can hear me miles away i just want some good sq/spl im on a budget its about 350-400 bucks lol... if anyone could think of a good sub/amp combo for that budget please tell me. thanks.

btw all i listen to is rap/hiphop

I would use an Infinity Basslink for your sub, the sound quality is excellent and plenty loud in the car, outside, not so much. It is a 10" sub with a 10"passive radiator, and a built in 200 or 250w class D amp. It has an on board crossover, uses rca, or speaker level inputs, and has a remote sub volume knob. Check it out @:http://www.crutchfield.com/S-CZaK7g9xcxC/cgi-bin/ProdView.asp?g=51000&I=108BASSLIN or:http://www.crutchfield.com/S-CZaK7g9xcxC/cgi-bin/ProdView.asp?g=51000&I=108BASSLN2 The best part is they can be found on ebay often for about $200 new. I have one and think it's great, until i can afford my DLS amp to run my Solobaric 8's. Good luck, if you have any questions let me know.

HU is not included in that budget, no.

Bikejunkie.. wouldn't it be better for the money to get a 12 inch sub say around 100-150 bucks and get a box? i have a 600w amp its a profile amp havn't ever used it bought it from a guy for 15 bucks he said it worked... but i don't know..

If you already have an amp, then a component sub in a box would possibly be better, hard to say how well it would all work together. I just thought for your price range and with the other parts you were going to use, the basslink would be an awesome choice. I am really happy with mine, and keep debating whether to keep it, or keep saving for a fat amp. I also like the remote bass control so it doesn't overpower anything. If the amp works, it might be okay, but it might also ****, and you have to buy a sub and budget $50-$100 to build a box and such, plus time for labor. In the end, a custom box with a good sub and amp will most likely outperform something like a basslink, but the basslink has great sound, less cost, and less labor/complexity involved. That's my opinion anyway.

I have the 4600, and my advice is to be careful. Only get it if you can externally amp the fronts because it has no built in crossovers. Also, my preouts are already giving me problems and I had to ground the RCAs so that I don't get alt whine. The EQ is also pretty shitty.
