Some of you may not want to go this route but it worked great. I sanded lightly the whole interior of my truck. Then spent $35 on three gallons of rubberized roofing sealant. I coated the entire back of my Bronco with two gallons at anywhere from 1/8" to 3/8" thick. I have yet to do the front but will get to it soon. One gallon should do the front fine. I have not got the interior back in yet but I will tell you the road noise is considerably less. It worked much better than I thought it would. I would say the noise is about the same now as with the interior in the truck. When I get it all back in and together I think I will be real happy. Anyway if your ok with coating your car/truck with this stuff it really works. I will get some pics up in an hour or so. You can get the stuff at any home depot or home center. I hate Home Depot so go to your local home center and don't give HD the business. Be sure to get rubberized sealant not the other stuff.

i hope it doesnt get to hot where you are at. cause i have a feeling thats shit is gonna smell to high heaven when it gets hot. plus probably gonna get very very soft and possibly runny. hmmm i hope it goes well if not, may be time to get some new carpet and interior plastics

I wonder when will people learn to stop using asphalt based roofing supplies as a cheap way to sound deaden a vehicle?
I wonder when will people learn to stop using expensive shit like dynamat as an expensive way to sound deaden a vehicle?

Learn to read *******. It's not asphalt based you moron it's rubber based, it works very well, and it's cheap.

I will have pics up in a few minutes.

how much does it wiegh?
density is the only thing that will make a deadener work well.
I would say a gallon weighs a bit more than a standard gallon of paint.

It can handle heat and cold fine as it is a roofing sealant. Only down side I can find so far is that it takes a number of days to cure. In the thick spots that are probably 3/8 to 1/2" thick it is still a bit soft and it's been about a week. It cures to the touch in 3 or 4 hours so you can touch it. The smell has not been an issue at all. It smelled a bit when laying it on but not as much as many paints would. Now there is a slight and I mean slight smell. Once I get the carpet all back in it will be completly gone. Here are some pics.

its gonna stink on a hot day... BAD
enjoy
Well you can think what you want but I guarantee it will not. I have been doing home construction my whole life and used this stuff alot. Once it is cured it's cured. It will not melt or soften unless in direct sunlight on a REAL hot day. Even then it is fine. Hell it doesn't even smell now and there is no carpet in it.
