im amused, and generally joking and all - but it sounds like they make be like a Kole, Pyle, or similar where the amps claim 4kw and do 1.2kw. But if they're using retardedly old board desings they may get away with the cost margins.

The subs sound like they have some serious QA issues if 1/2 of them have failures. I guess a little glue will go to the price you dont pay for DEE DEE and their wonderful rope tricks.

I think part of the glue issue is the guy behind the volume knob... if you recall the failed SD-1 woofer pics I posted a while back with the complete and utter destruction of voice coil beyond recognition... this is the same guy *laughs* So, they make work okay for people that are a bit more mindful.

On the amps, it has a frequency response of 47 hz - 250 hz. Does that mean it won't amplify anything below 47 hz? Or does that have nothing to do with it?

It looks like they just put the crossover specs there.

Based on what's being said about their build quality, I wouldn't feed them much until people have done some testing to see how they stand up to it.

The basket does look slightly different from the DD one. The spoke separations look a tad different. Maybe it's just because of the finish they have on the outside of the spokes. :shrug:

But for the money, I'm waiting for somebody to buy one and put it through some tests to see if it's even worth the hassle. If you blow up the softparts in it and have to replace them with DD parts, you might be better off just buying a used F series motor instead.

when you get a rebuild kit for any DD sub, it consists of a cone, a dustcap, a coil and retardedly long former that you have to cut down so you can attach it to the cone with a shitload of CA glue and a 8" peice of rope //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif Its about as ghetto as ghetto can get. And of course, all of their subs come from the factory built like that.
