you'd finally get that nice thunk when you close the door

course the window will also shatter

 
and OP u asked about for the roof... at my autoparts store they sell this 3M spray-on rubberized "sound deadener" (it actually says that on the can) but its not exactly cheap (like $3-$4 a can and it doesnt cover much)
